The Ecology Center, founded in 1969 as a meeting place for environmental thinkers and activists is today a Berkeley establishment operating a successful Bookstore, the popular Berkeley Farmers Market, and since 1973 runs Berkeley’s Curbside Recycling Program. To leap it forward into this new era of environmental activism, The Ecology Center partnered with Celery to refresh it’s identity and create an updated set of collateral materials. The new brand is a contemporary reflection of the heritage of the Center and is wide-spread throughout the City appearing on everything from recycle bins, recycling brochures and Berkeley’s fleet of recycling trucks.
